Framing
Your poster is a testament to the earliest printing techniques invented. It is produced in our workshop in Provence. We do not use ink. The design, engraved on a metal plate, is pressed firmly into the paper, creating a relief, known in printing as "debossing."
To engrave this metal plate, a black, digital line drawing is essential. We therefore draw all designs on a graphic tablet, with a digital pen as we would on paper.
We place a marking film with aluminum pigments between the paper and the metal piece. When pressure is applied to the paper and the plate is sufficiently heated, the pigments are transferred into the indentation created by the high pressure.
Our papers are fine art papers, "soft" in nature, meaning they accept deformation without tearing. They are made from virgin pulp, dyed in the mass for a deep color, comply with the highest environmental standards, and are 100% recycled and 100% recyclable.
They are, without a doubt, the noblest papers we have the chance to work with today.

The production settings and preparations are manual and artisanal; no digital guidance is used, as our platen presses date from the 1950s. Their robustness and ingenious mechanics make these presses the natural guardians of this Art, which communicates elegance and quality like no other printing technique: LetterPress.
Each impression is unique, with slight variations that may appear, which is normal and a testament to the artisanal technique.
