Your poster bears witness to the early printing techniques invented. It is produced in our workshop in Provence. We do not use ink. The design, engraved on a metal plate, is deeply pressed into the paper to create a relief, known in printing as 'embossing.'
To engrave this metal plate, a digital outline drawing in black is essential. Therefore, we draw all designs on a graphics tablet with a digital pencil, much like we would on paper.
We place a film with aluminum pigment marking between the paper and the metal piece. When pressure is applied to the paper and the plate is sufficiently heated, the pigments are transferred into the recess created by the high pressure.
Our papers are 'soft' art papers, meaning they accept deformation without tearing. They are made from virgin paper pulp, dyed throughout for deep color, meet environmental standards in the best way possible, and are 100% recycled and recyclable.
They are undoubtedly the finest papers we have the privilege to work with today.

Production settings and preparations are manual and artisanal; no digital guidance is used, as our flatbed presses date back to the 1950s. Their enduring robustness and ingenious mechanics make these presses the natural guardians of this art, communicating elegance and quality unlike any other printing technique: LetterPress.
